WAPI- The Great!

WAPI- the great!
By

Bsc Geography, MEM (in View)

The Gone are those days
When young never realises their dreams
When creativity fades away and lost
By the owner not knowing its existence

WAPI is enormous, immense it remains
Young people explore their unique potentialities
Hidden unexplored in numerous spaces
It makes one what one should be

Build confidence, strengthen creativity….
Young think like adults and perform professional!
The unknown talents made naked
What a great human empowerment indeed!

People unfamiliar become friends
Motivate creativity and support fulfilling dreams
Show case in the presence of large audience
Confidence and self esteem is real

It is fun, fun it always remain
Educational and entertainment as part
Exposing the little known to fully known
Environment, democracy sub-topics among others

WAPI is great indeed!
Potentials Role model it is
Potentialities, skills, ability, reality
And more picture out!
Creativity and intellectuality
Makes nobody to somebody
Is little about the results it yields

We Miss You Yahya

We Miss You Yahya

By

Musa Abdullahi Sufi

(Colleague)

Seems like few hours ago

We left homeward after class

But, heard of sudden, sadden story…

That you passed away

Every Friday after prayer

Friday prayer I always recall

Sitting under the tree by the cars

With beautiful Sallaya spread

You are always among like the star up the sky

You are nice, kind, friend and brother

You shook hand and smile with everyone

You left us as a true hero

One with ambition, mission and good heart

We miss you and think of you

We will forever remember you!

Of course Almighty God loves you the most

May your soul rest in perfect peace

Ameen Summa Ameen!

My Lovely Kano

My Lovely Kano
By
Musa Abdullahi Sufi

I am the Son of Kano and this is my Kano
Trips to rural, markets, prayers, singing and reading,
Gurasa, Ice cream, walking and riding,
Emir Palace, Dala, Goron Dutse, Gidan Makama, dying pit visits
Trees and mountains climbing my favourite

Millions on a daily wake up
To the sound of single call…
The call to prayer, respond by millions
Men, women and children get up
For Morning Prayer call Subh

Men and women fill up the streets
To the market, schools, friends and family visits
Different and diverse tribes and cultures around
Beautifies and strength Kano
Kano, Kano so the name echoed everywhere

The Jewel positioned not far from the desert
Visits by thousands and retained daily
Historical, religious, modern known with values
Real people nor pompous neither arrogant

Predominantly Muslims, significantly people of the book
Cosmopolitan, trade spot since trans-Saharan trade
The State law is Sharia’a to guide all activities
Lovely city to live and work

Blessed with human and Natural like its nation
Centre of commerce is a bit about it,
Education, intelligent, brilliants and sensitive focus people
Little is known about its real pleasure by many
But its importance and uniqueness appear in Google earth!

Daily interaction with people smiles,
Love caring and much concerned to female than male
As the value of women so much respected and recall
So I heard from an international Visitor
Eid Celebrations, Durbar, Friday unforgettable fun!

The rainy season comes with surprises
Powerful wind, dust, and storms
Then wet the dried soils- sprouted by plants
Streams, rivers and Dams uploaded
To satisfied the farmers so everyone in Kano

In the village out in the night,
Enjoy the beautiful breath
Children singing and playing
Everyone is real and glad
So the brief about my beloved Jewel!

My Parent Made Me, Me

My Parent Made Me, Me
By
Musa Abdullahi Sufi

My parent are sweet and always Caring
They worries about me at school, travels or work
They pray always for me to get what I head
On time to prevent looking like a fool

They cares whenever I pass exams
They cares how the buttons on my shirt looks
They makes me happy with their smiles, hugs and kisses
They always hold my hands whenever I am Sad

I love my parents more than myself
I love them for all they do
I will make sure to put smiles on their faces
Forever you are always on my mind

Always remember how things changes
Fast, slowly gradual and abrupt
Prior being myself, you made me, me
There is patience, love and discipline
Not knowing, when stepped back to set me free

Acting like a watch dog, let me sail upon my ocean,
But all with knowing still they are with me
Before I was myself they made me, me

Had so much dreams of what I want to be
Helps in counselling and guidance as well
Then relinquishing power gradually
To encourage me contour myself among my peers

As love inspire learning naturally;
Easily the mind assents to what the heart reveres
Thus, it was through love you made me, me
You made me, me….. I loud!!

Last October in Wales-A Poem

Last October in Wales

With
Musa Abdullahi Sufi

Observing mountains touching the sky
Valleys in between mountains pulling my heart
Rains keeps falling across in sounds
The sound of rains echoed like drums

The beautiful sky adorned..
As clouds dark and light moving above
The beautiful vegetation spread
the rainbows across clouds reflected

What a colourful mixture in view
Valleys, mountains…. vegetation
Clouds, rains and cold
So cold, with my teeth’s cracking sounds

Standing, wetting, looking romantic view
With a sipping coffee so hot tasted good
Makes one feel like living much longer
With Endless joy of natural view
What are beautiful attractive landscapes?

Undulating valleys covered in greens
Strengthen eyes of sight with joy
Shower in light, foggy beautiful reminder!
With my hands folded, never feel unfolding

I wish I am always here
I wish my place is like this
But then, no place like home.
