In an effort to bring all the Civil Society Organizations in Kano State to mobilize and resist the removal of fuel subsidy the CSOs formed a new coalition to do it more strategic.
“The Kano State CSOs Coalition against Fuel Subsidy Removal” is now the umbrella body for all the activities of the NGOs, CBOs, activists and Associations in organizing rally, protest and activities against fuel subsidy.
The coalition was formed after one of the NLC/NTU lead protest meeting with the aim of strategizing the mobilization of people at the grassroots considering youth and women to be represented from all walks of life. Committees were formed in the areas of crowd management and communication in addition to elders. It is expected these committees will be working with committees formed by the NLC/NTU.
It is noted that, the CSOs as the closest group to the people can be able to organize the majority of Nigerian whom the removal of fuel subsidy affected the most.
At the end of the meeting donations were done to be able fundraise the resources as the battle will continue till the fuel subsidy restored.

The Arewa filmmakers during their meeting in Kano yesterday banned Maryam Muhammad from acting due to indiscipline in the industry.
The dilemma happened at a film location when the said actress abuse Abubakar Sani. The report discovered he was the one that initiate the abuse before she retaliates back.
The decision was taken according to the committee because while both of them were invited for negotiation meeting; Maryam refused attending in addition to her rude comments to the officials and the industry in general. But Abukar who attended the sitting admitted he was wrong and ready to apologize to her. He was charged 10,000 naira and his filming location was banned for about 2 to 3 month.
The meeting also reached a resolution that any film that featured her (completed or on editing) ground should be reported to the association and censors while her new cast or appearance in any new film is banned.
The decision was carried out with the inputs of editors, producers, artist, and national and state censorship boards among other.
Although this decision was not welcomed for some of the practitioners as they considered the decision too harsh for Maryam.

In Memory of My Late Mother
In Memory of My Late Mother
By

Mother You left too Soon
My most beloved my mother
Deaths sets us apart physically
Your death is as fresh as my breath daily
Thinking of about you everyday
Sleep with you in my heart
Remembering that saddest day
The unforgettable day you died
I keep in mind everything about you,
Your love, voice, smile and laugh,
How you walked, eat and talked,
Your looks to me means so much till today.
Moment with mother I memorized them all,
While most are advise and majority funny and kind
All your word mother were wise indeed
All the things you did for me made me see things in wider view
Viewing back every minute we shared,
Like yesterday or few minutes ago
Eating together and learning wisdom of you
None of your child or grandchild goes astray!
Mother you departed from Me (us) suddenly,
But what death can’t take away from me?
Is your permanent love inside my heart
that guide my soul and shine my sad moment!
Every second I miss you Mom
My survival till today I got no idea how
You were my sheltered since before I was born
You taught me goodies clear from baddies with love
While I grew up older, mother always around
Heartening me up when getting down
You always took time to attend to my concerns
At last recommended what’s best, Mama always right
Presently you’re gone, my life is empty and lonesome
how much I love Mother, no enough words to express!
What a dreadful day of flowing tear when death put us apart!
Smiles follow as you died on Friday before mosque
And society comments of your good heart
All I keep saying for my prayers eternally
May your gentle and kind loving soul rest in perfect peace! Ameen!
